Kinderhilfe Philippinen

About us

mabuhay Kinderhilfe Philippinen is a charity founded in Bamberg in 1995 to support children in the Philippines that live in deprivation and poverty.

mabuhay is both a Philippine salutation and a wish. It means “you shall live”. The name mabuhay is our programme. It expresses our wish to improve the living conditions of deprived children in the Philippines and to enable them to have a life of dignity.

The project work of mabuhay Kinderhilfe

These are our project partners in the Philippines:

  • The Canossian Sisters
  • Leslie Macuja, a social worker in Manila und Mindoro.

You can provide targeted support by financing a school sponsorship or a school scholarship and paying the monthly school fees or by donating to one of our projects. Besides we deliberately charge only a small membership fee.

Due to the efforts of our volunteers administrative expenses are so low that nearly 100 percent of your donations go to the Philippines. We visit the projects and families every two years. As we are in regular contact, we register improvement and are close to people’s needs and wishes. We can now see the fruits of our labours. Many of our scholars have graduated and have started a successful career. This encourages us to expand our work in the Philippines so we can support even more children.

We are looking forward to your contribution!
